Fischer & Wieser has participated in the Nimitz Classic every year since its inception. The Nimitz Foundation is near & dear to Case D. Fischer’s heart, having taken part in Nimitz activites since his teenage years. He served as Chairman of the Board of the Admiral Nimitz Foundation, among other offices.

“Fischer & Wieser is honored to participate in any cause that helps our veterans and educating the public about their sacrifices,” stated Fischer. “We hope their stories, especially those of the WWII Veterans, are known and shared with generations now, and in the future.”

It is with utmost sadness I share with you the loss of my dear friend, Rusty Fenton.

Rusty and I became friends in the late ‘80s when he had started a praline business. We both were “foodies” and had a passion for entrepreneurship. He is in that small group of friends who would do anything for you without question! Rusty was always there for me—in good times and especially in bad! And I will miss the “safe” feeling I got when talking to and being with him.

Many of you who love our products have a connection with Rusty. It was Rusty I would send my products to for feedback and it was Rusty who said to me when I was working on a new raspberry sauce, “Case, why don’t you add chipotle peppers to that?”

Well, in 1995 hardly anyone even knew what a chipotle pepper was—including me.  He explained the flavor of it to me—and skeptically, I tried his suggestion.  As you know, it was magic!  The Original Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce® became our best seller overnight and remains so today.

That is just one of many helping hands Rusty gave to me and Fischer & Wieser, and I can say we would not be where we are without that, and many other “Rusty ideas” and help  through our years of friendship.

Rusty, thank you so much for everything you did for me and all the other people you inspired over the years. I will miss that “safe” feeling I had with you but I know you are busy opening your next Rusty Taco in Heaven! I can only imagine how good they will taste up there!

(Middleton, WI) Fredericksburg-based Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods won Gold and Silver medal awards at the 19th Annual World-Wide Mustard Competition at the National Mustard Museum. Fischer & Wieser Brat Haus Beer Mustard brought home the Gold in the Mustard Spirit category, and Fischer & Wieser Sweet, Sour, & Smokey Mustard Sauce won Silver in the Mustard BBQ sauce category.

“We’re honored to receive these awards,” Fischer & Wieser CEO and President Case D. Fischer said. “We have tremendous regard for the National Mustard Museum. The mustard industry has marquee brands and distinguished leaders, and to receive a Gold and Silver award means a lot to us.”

Nearly 300 entries from as far away as New Zealand and Japan competed in sixteen flavor categories in the international mustard competition. More than eighty judges, including chefs and food writers, tasted and scored the mustards over a three week period, selecting Gold, Silver and Bronze in each of 16 categories.

Maille Dijon Originale was name Grand Champion at the contest, and several other familiar mustards were among medal winners, including French’s, which won the Gold Medal in the American Yellow category.

National Mustard Museum Curator Barry Levenson said, “This year’s mustards were outstanding in every category, and the Grand Champion round was especially challenging for the judges, who had to taste the sixteen Gold Medal winners and decide which deserved to be best-of-show.”

I just today received a bottle that I ordered on line and it is just as wonderful as I remember…..I could take the cap off and just drink it!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it on cream cheese with crackers. I have been enjoying this stuff for years now while living in Texas! Absolutely fantastic on roast pork, cream cheese., and as part of a raspberry vinegrette for salads. Now that I have moved to Germany, it is nearly impossible to get. I have to rely on my annual trip to the states or on some very good friends visiting the USA to grab me a few bottles. But a few bottles only last a few weeks. When will you guys be able to ship overseas?! I sure miss your products. Thanks so much!

I met Jay this weekend at the Spec’s Cheese Event and told him about my Mom. My husband and I moved to Houston from Louisiana more than 20 years ago and soon after that, my Mom and Dad started visiting us here. During one of those early visits, my Mom bought a bottle of Fischer & Wieser Raspberry Chipotle sauce and the rest is history.

For several years after that, she’d come to visit and bring back home a case of the delicious sauce. Now, it’s available where she lives and she doesn’t have to come here to get it. I often wonder if THAT’s the reason she makes fewer trips these days (grin.) but she continues to buy it in bulk and pass it out to everyone she knows.

Original Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce is absolutely amazing. I was reluctant when I first saw it as an appetizer at a wedding reception. One taste and I was sold. It was my favorite treat for the day. I ate way too much of this wonderful delicacy and just couldn’t get enough. How happy I was to log onto your site and see it along with all these other precious items. I have been telling all my friends about it and now I can direct them where to log on and get spoiled. We simply love this sauce. I make the salad dressing very often as we eat it every day!

GREAT! Makes a great Spinach salad w/roasted slivered almonds,slivered red onion and drained mandarin oranges ..fresh baby spinach. Dressing 1/2 cup of MangoGinger Habanero.1/4 cup of balsamic and 1/4 cup of olive oil. Huge HIT with EVERYONE! I thought I got this recipe on this site but can not find it. Don’t hesitate to try it…..everywhere I take this salad (easy to take)..I have to provide the recipe! Great product! Thanks!

Probably the best sauce with a “little” heat. Love it.

I love this salsa. I reduce it to 1 cup by simmering and after cooling it, I mix it into 1 8 oz. softened cream cheese. It’s a delicious dip for tortilla chips or veggies. Everyone who I’ve serve it to loves it as well.

YOUR PEACH SALSA IS SO GOOD – IT’ S ADDICTIVE! I first tasted it in Texas at my step-daughter. She sent us a case of four after we got home and of course it’s all gone.

Spread the amaretto peach pecan jelly over brie and microwave it for 20-30 seconds until he cheese is soft. Cover with toasted sliced almonds. Serve with crackers. It’s the best!!

Love amaretto peach or the fig jelly with mozzarella and prosciuto grilled on sourdough bread… love love love it…

There are not enough stars in the sky to rate this product with. I love it and have used it so many ways…on toast, ice cream, ham, cream cheese, or just a spoon. Please, never stop making it!

This is the best jelly I’ve ever tasted. It came in a gift basket and I am back for more.

I really like your Guacamole Starter because it was as easy as you made it sound on the label. I added an extra 1.5 avocados, and it still tasted great. I also sprinkled in Mrs. Dash chipotle seasoning and liquid aminos for added salt because I was using very bland low salt blue nachos with sesame seeds baked in.

This Guacamole Starter is the best!! Super easy to make and it tastes great! (Also keeps the leftover dip from turning brown.) Have given many jars as gifts and now have a group of friends that are hooked as well.

Blossom Landau loves our Mom’s G&B Spaghetti Sauce!

Recently we were contacted by a wonderful lady named Blossom Landau who wanted to know if she could use our Mom’s Garlic & Basil Spaghetti Sauce with ground beef to make a meat sauce. She was planning a dinner with a special “young man” and she wanted everything to be “perfect!” We told her, of course she could use the Mom’s Sauce with ground beef–just brown it, pour in the sauce, let it simmer; cook the spaghetti al dente, mix up a tossed green salad–she wanted to know if she should use Italian dressing and we told her “of course,” again. Then she confirmed she’d also be serving a garlic bread accompaniment! Sounded wonderful to us!

After we discussed her menu and recipes, she volunteered that our Mom’s Garlic & Basil Spaghetti Sauce is “the best spaghetti sauce I’ve ever had, and I’m 86 years old and have eaten in the finest restaurants all over the world! I used to be a tour guide in Europe and elsewhere, and I had to go ‘try out’ the restaurants before I’d take my clients to eat in them. So I know what I’m talking about!”

She proceeded to tell us that she had been getting the sauce at one of the large box stores, but they’d stopped carrying it at the one near her—so she “went in there and gave the manager a piece of her mind”—and “they brought it back!”

Fischer & Wieser’s Currycot™ Indian Style Apricot Curry Sauce recently garnered a 2nd place award in the 2013 Fiery Food Competition, Barbecue Sauce: Asian Style at ZestFest.  According to the ZestFest website, the competition

brings together the spiciest exhibitors and products from around the country for one sizzling weekend. ZestFest is the ultimate party for bold and flavorful food enthusiasts.

 

The competition has a 10 year history, being held annually in Irving, Texas at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas. It has grown each year, attracting not only small specialty food manufacturers, but large producers, and people from the trades, including celebrity chefs and restauranteurs. The event has become a 3-day affair, featuring not only the competitions, but food demos and entertainment venues as well. Fischer & Wieser has entered the competition since the inception of the contest, winning New Product of the Year with its Razzpotle  and the Golden Chile Award with Chipotle Chile Ketchup, among many other awards.

Fischer & Wieser was among 714 competitors participating at the event. Case D. Fischer, CEO & President of Fischer & Wieser, is quick to encourage entry of the company’s products into all types of competitions and values the awards the company has received from the Fiery Food Challenge.

  • Just wanted to let you know that F&W made it to our belated Chanukah Brunch table. The Roasted Rasperry Chipotle Sauce over cream cheese stood out on the dip table. I made the Apricot Orange Marmalade Cheesecake Bars which didn’t set properly. I probably over beat it which caused too many air bubbles. I scraped out the filling and served it as a custard which turned a disaster into a success. But the piece de resistance was the Roasted Raspberry Chocolate Cake. I used a devils food cake recipe. I didn’t want to use sherry and forgot to get chocolate sauce so I used caramel. It was unbelievable! Too bad I didn’t see that martini recipe till today. It would have been a great end to the day! By the way, my official taste tester, husband Larry Fox, just asked what I was going to try next.

    • Tonights dinner: I had some Roasted Raspberry Sauce left over and some chicken tenders. Marinated the chicken for 5 hours in just enough sauce to cover it. Sprayed a baking dish with no-stick cooking spray. Brushed the chicken with some sauce. Baked for 10 minutes. Turned the chicken and brushed some more. Baked for 10 more minutes. Served with tomatoes and peppers sauted in olive oil, garlic, and onion and some brunch leftover noodle pudding. Another easy meal a la F&W. Larry thanks you!
