F & W part of TEAFCS “Sweet & Spicy” Tour

Almost 30 members of the Texas Extension Association of Family & Consumer Sciences were hosted by Fischer & Wieser Wednesday, July 27, 2011

during their Annual Conference here in Fredericksburg.  Their theme during the 3-day Conference was “Piecing It Together: Family, Home & Work.” A tour of Fischer & Wieser was arranged for their “Workshops on the Move” segment.

Two of the objectives for the state meeting were to 1) encourage TEAFCS conference participants to reflect on and appreciate the accomplishments made in family and consumer sciences, health, and economic development; 2) provide TEAFCS conference participants with opportunities related to economic development that will enhance the lives of Texans.

The tour began with Mark Wieser, Founder and Chairman of the Board, imparting a bit of Fischer & Wieser history, and interspersing a few humorous incidents that happened over 40 years since the company’s founding.  Case D. Fischer, Chief Executive Officer and President, extended the discussion, with a bit more emphasis on the development of the company’s signature product, The Original Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce®.

Jenny Wieser, Chief Operating Officer, continued the tour with an overview of the packaging and shipping departments.

A discussion of the product development sector of the company was given by Ashley Seeling, Director of Quality Assurance and Product Development.  Finally, Deanna Fischer, Chief Marketing Officer, invited the group to sample some of the delicious products offered by the company.
